WordPress plugin development

Purpose-built WordPress functionality with a documented maintenance path.

Built for teams that need a stronger technical foundation

WordPress product companies, agencies and teams with functionality that generic plugins cannot safely cover.

Problems it solves

  • Plugin conflicts
  • Missing integrations
  • Manual admin work
  • Theme-coupled functionality

A defined delivery scope

The exact implementation is confirmed during discovery. A typical engagement includes the areas below.

  • Requirements mapping
  • Plugin architecture
  • Admin experience
  • API integration
  • Permissions
  • Testing
  • Documentation

From requirement to a maintainable release

The process is adjusted to the project, but the core decision points stay visible throughout the engagement.

  1. 01

    Discover

Clarify the business goal, users, current systems, constraints and decision owners.

  2. 02

    Define

Turn the requirement into a written scope, architecture, milestones and acceptance criteria.

  3. 03

    Build

Implement agreed deliverables with direct communication and visible technical decisions.

  4. 04

    Launch and support

Complete quality checks, deploy carefully, document the work and agree on the support path.

Engineering judgment and maintainable outcomes

We work at the architecture and code level, make tradeoffs visible and leave teams with systems they can understand and extend.

About Our Approach
  • Engineering firstWe avoid unnecessary layers and solve the underlying technical problem.
  • Performance built inAccessibility, SEO, maintainability and speed are part of the implementation.
  • Direct communicationScope, risk and delivery decisions stay visible throughout the project.

A stack chosen for fit and ownership

  • WordPress APIs
  • PHP
  • REST
  • JavaScript
  • MySQL

Bring the context you already have.

Useful inputs include the current website or repository, approved designs, business requirements, known integrations, content ownership and any fixed launch dates.

If the scope is still unclear, discovery can be used to identify risks, prioritize the first release and decide whether the existing system should be extended or replaced.

Questions about WordPress plugin development

Concise answers to the questions most teams ask before discovery.

Contact us
Can wordpress plugin development work with our existing systems?

Usually, yes. We review the current codebase, hosting, integrations and constraints before recommending whether to extend, modernize or rebuild.

How is the final scope confirmed?

We confirm requirements, dependencies, delivery milestones and acceptance criteria during discovery. The final quote depends on scope, design complexity, integrations, content, functionality and timeline.

Do you provide support after launch?

Yes. Launch support, maintenance retainers and dedicated engineering plans are available when ongoing capacity is needed.

AI and regional platforms

Static pages and AI translation workflow

Benchmark Email needed controlled delivery for selected regional pages and a reviewed workflow for translation drafts within its WordPress Multisite network.

The static page platform converts selected Beaver Builder pages into HTML, CSS and JavaScript while preserving public URLs. The translation plugin creates regional drafts using glossaries, reference material and validation, with native-language review before publication.

The tools run in production, but this account does not claim every page is static or every language uses AI translation. The relationship began in 2018; the tools’ build periods and independently verified SEO, traffic and revenue outcomes are not established here.

International platforms

International WordPress + Hreflang architecture

A WordPress Multisite network spanning nine languages needed its regional pages correctly linked to their English equivalents for search engines, but the relationship data behind those links was incomplete and had no way to stay trustworthy as content changed. The technical challenge wasn't writing hreflang tags; it was building a reliable way to know which page was the translation of which, across independent sites, including one hosted entirely outside the network.

CodingBeings built a network-activated WordPress plugin that scans and auto-matches Pages by slug, hierarchy and title similarity, gives a human a confidence-scored review interface, and only publishes hreflang output and localized navigation once relationships are explicitly trusted. A two-layer cache keeps output fast across eight sites without hitting the database on every page load.

The result: hreflang management moved from scattered manual tags to structured, auditable relationship data, reviewable, correctable, and safe to extend with AI-assisted diagnosis without giving up deterministic validation.

Software integration

Automating subscription-based content access between Laravel and WordPress

A dental services client used Laravel for registration and subscription payments, while its paid content lived in WordPress. The two systems were disconnected: paying for a subscription did not automatically give a customer the right WordPress account or content access.

The integration made Laravel the source of truth for identity and subscription status. A custom WordPress plugin received registration and payment events through a REST API, created users and assigned purpose-built Free Subscriber or Paid Subscriber roles. JWT-based single sign-on connected the login experience, with a dedicated synchronization layer handling the differences between WordPress cookies and Laravel tokens.

Customers could register and pay in Laravel, then access the WordPress content their subscription unlocked without a second login or routine manual role assignment. A Laravel reconciliation command provided a recovery path for the occasional provisioning failure, so an unsuccessful sync could be corrected for an individual user.
